What to do when your agency is unavailable for a rotation

Not Available for a Rotation?

What to Do So That Dispatch Can Respond Accordingly

This guide will assist you in swapping the unavailable resource or removing your agency if no resource is available

  1. Mark Your Agency as Unavailable

First, make sure you have marked your agency as unavailable under the correct rotation. You can find your rotation either in your Agency Dashboard or the main eDSR.

Agency Dashboard: Rotation View

Use the gear or menu option to make unavailable (or available). Ensure to leave a comment so Dispatch knows any important details!!

  1. Check If the Rotation Applies to Any Teams

Next, verify if the rotation applies to any teams. This can be done under your Agency Dashboard in the Deployment Tab or in the main eDSR under Teams.

For Agency Dashboard, you'll see all resources from your agency on a team under the DEPLOYMENT RESOURCES TAB

For the MAIN DSR, you'll see all resources under the different teams

  1. Manage Resources on the Team

If you find that a resource is on a team, ensure you either swap the resource with another available one or remove your agency altogether if no resource is available.

For the Agency Dashboard or the Main DSR Team View, use the 3-dot menu to swap the resource:

For the Main DSR Team Tab, you'll need to click on the team to open up the individual view for the team.

To remove a resource or agency, click the 3-dot menu and choose "Swap Resource."

A menu will slide out to swap. To remove an agency or resource, you'll need search by typing in the correct name and click it. (SEE WORDING: PRESS ENTER TO REMOVE).

When you save it, the agency/resource will be changed to TBD so Dispatch knows it is not filled.

  1. Notify Dispatch

Now, when Dispatch reviews the teams, they will see that the position is not filled and can begin work to backfill it. It’s also helpful to reach out with a quick call or email to let them know!
