Deploy an outside agency STEN to a deployment

There are times you will need to deploy a STEN or Trainee from an outside agency. This article will help guide you through the steps you should take. Complete all steps during the process so you don't end up creating duplicate resources/personnel. Duplicates can cause issues when running reports in the future. NOTE: This process can be used for firefighters of outside agencies to roster their units as well.

STEP 1: Ensure the personnel doesn't already exist

Go to the Personnel Tab at the top of the page

Do a quick search

Step 2: Create a personnel (If they have already been created, go to step 3)

Under the Personnel Tab, click on ADD PERSONNEL

Add in as much information as you have

First/last name
Email
Rank
Agency
Station (Search for their MAC ID, example ANA for Anaheim, if it doesn't exist, reach out to help chat bot)
Qualification (STEN)

Click SAVE

Step 3: Add New Resource: STEN or STEN Trainee (if this resource already exists, go to STEP 4)

Go to the team they are deploying with. Go to the 3-dot menu and click Swap Resource

Select correct Agency (type in MAC ID for quicker find)

BEFORE Adding the missing resource, make sure it doesn't exist first by typing in "STEN" in the resource field

Click Add Missing Resource, type in STEN or STEN Trainee and then click Add Resource

You will now see LAC STEN has been added.

Step 4: Once you have selected STEN or STEN Trainee as the rosource, it's time to roster it

Click on the 0 active roster(s) button

Click on Add Roster*

Select the correct personnel and add their shifts (if the team is deployed, time/date will shift to the deployed time/date automatically)

Your resource has now been rostered!

This process can be used for the Trainee as well as rostering resources from outside agencies too
