Create a new Announcement
What are Announcements?
The Announcement card is used to display important information that needs to stand out when users access the ERMS tool, similar to a message or email but remains in the tool. The level of appropriateness on using the announcement to send a message is determined by the dispatch / command center. Announcements are useful for critical alerts or items that can not be done within ERMS. Those items should be reported to Grizzly Systems for possibility of future enhancements.
Who can send out an announcement?
The Announcement card is limited to dispatch / command center staff
Step 1: Go to the Main Tab
or click HERE and proceed to Step 2
Ensure you are under the Dashboard page
Click on the dropdown box in the upper right side of the page, and choose "Your Agency" DSR
You should default to the Main tab
Here you will find the Notice card with all created announcements
Step 2: Add new announcement
Click on the 3-dot menu in the upper right side of the card and choose New Announcement
Add a message title and additional details
OPTIONAL: Add an expiration date/time. When this time is met, the message will disappear
Click Add Announcement
Your announcement will populate on the Main DSR as well as the Agency Dashboard (under Today Tab)
