What is rostering?

Rostering is adding personnel to a resource (vehicle) with a set schedule or shift. After the end of the declared shift, the roster or personnel's name will disappear.

When to use rosters

This should be used for resources assigned to a Strike Team or Task Force:

Gives Chiefs and Dispatch a central place to see who is on shift and will likely deploy
Populates personnel information into administrative forms which can be exported from ERMS. Less back and forth with paperwork
STEN and personnel now can see all deploying personnel with access to their contact information

| In this article, we will focus on setting rosters from the Agency Dashboard. This is the quickest and easiest way for personnel in the field to set their rosters on resources assigned to Unapproved teams, Approved teams and Dispatched teams

Click on the dropdown box in the upper right side of the page, and choose "Your Agency" DSR

Click on the Teams tab. From here you will see all created teams.

Creating a REMs Team

ERMS now allows for the creation of unique and customized team deployments. Here we will give you one option on how to deploy a REMs team.

Create a team deployment

This can be done from the Main Tab in the Active Deployment card

This can be done from the Teams tab in the Teams card with the ${color}[#ec7400]( "+" sign)

Choose "MISC" from the list of options

Replace default Team Name, add any necessary notes that is important to either the team or dispatch and then choose if it is a pre-approved team or not

Example of a note might be the rental vehicle information or what qualification the firefighter went out as (such as MEDL)

Why use the Agency Dashboard?

Why is there an Agency Dashboard if we already have the Main DSR?

We built the Agency Dashboard to help keep field operations focused on updating their information. The Agency Dashboard simply pulls in all the information regarding a single agency into their own view. The hope is to reduce the clutter and streamline daily tasks.

Who should use it?

The Agency Dashboard is better used by field operations and not dispatch or command centers. The Agency Dashboard is designed to pulled in information that is tagged specifically to an agency

Along with agency specific information, we wanted to add additional "planning" tools to help field operations prepare for the day or week

How do you access the Agency Dashboard?

The Agency Dashboard can be found in the top right drop down box on the main page or Click HERE

Creating a Task Force Team

Why create Personnel profiles for your team/crews?

Personnel profiles are used throughout the ERMS tool for adding rosters. The more you put in, the more you get. Personnel profiles are used on deployments and to help populate the administrative forms.

Step 1: Go to Personnel page

Step 2: Add a New Personnel Profile

Click Add Personnel

Enter as much of the information as possible, as each area contributes to other parts of the ERMS tool

Name - For team / overhead assignments as well as administrative forms
Email - For contact information
Rank - For administrative forms
Station - For location assistance with dispatch / command center
